As a response to the rash of assaults in our area, neighbors are coming together today to rally against the violence. A growing group of neighbors are organizing a community rally aimed at three things:
(1) Letting the attacker(s) know we will not stand for this;

Our growing neighbor to the south has a new music and performance venue. Well, the venue has a long and storied history, but Columbia City Theater is now under new management and promising to bring a regular flow of talent back to the south end. You can clearly see the Philly's Best just south of the Mt. Baker Light Rail station in the background of the video. Apparently the stop was for jay walking, which in that location, means not using the walkway over the street....
I've always been excited about the Light Rail. I anticipated its arrival and rode it on the first day. I think most agree it will, over time, be a good thing for the Mount Baker neighborhood.
